NZ Solos Veterans Challenge

Gary O’Hare. , age 46, started speedway in 1981. was doing 2nd halfs at belle vue and stoke by the end of that season. signed for stoke in 82 and got into the first team by the end of that season. 83 was in the stoke team untill breaking my thigh competing in the british junior championship. 84 i was competing in the 2nd halfs at stoke . 85 i started riding for barrow untill they shut. i did two meetings for edinburgh , but had to make way because of the points ruling . signed for ellesmere port who went on to become league champions. in 86 had to move to newcastle because ellesmere port closed .. did two seasons at newcastle. in 88 signed for long eaton and got the rider of the year award. in 89 they bought me on a full transfer and stayed with them untill 92 . at the end of 92 i retired and went on to race in grasstacks untill 2001. i decided by 2007 that i was missing the racing so started back just practicing. in 2008 i rode in the telford indoor ice championships and came 4th. i competed in 2009 in the summer amateur championships at scunthorpe and won a 7 round series. and this year 2010 i will try and do the same again..
