Grasstrack: Started racing in 1976 as a junior and entered the  international scene aged 18, winning the Belgian Open Championship within a year.
Speedway: Commenced 1985 for both Peterborough and Kings Lynn Junior Leagues. Moved to UK First Division team Swindon in 1986 and until a broken femur in 1989 cut short my career I raced for amongst others Rye House, Exeter and Milton Keynes where my mechanic was Mike Wilson.
Returned to grasstrack in 1990 and rode in the European Championships of 1991, 1992 and 1993. I was leading the 1993 Championship on finals day when a German rider took me out and I finished 5th, despite not riding in the final. In 1994 I rode in the World Long Track Championship. I retired at the end of that year due to persistent injuries.
I came back to racing in 2003 in the British Pre 75 Grasstrack Championship. I finished 3rd in my first meeting back after a nine year lay off and rode through the rest of the year unbeaten both at home and abroad.
In 2004 I returned to the modern grasstrack class and qualified for and rode in the British Masters.

In 2005 I moved to France and rode the national championships for three years in both the modern and veterans classes. In 2007 I won the French Veterans Championship and promptly retired for the second time. I now race part time and just for fun but I still like to win !
